Holiday Club – General Information

Facilities

The Kid’s Club is located in St Mary’s Youth and Community Centre which is accessible via a large car park with it’s own entrance in the heart of St Mary’s. It has excellent facilities for the children to enjoy such as a tennis court, playing fields, a public outdoor playground and a large multi-use indoor sports hall.

Our building is accessible for all. The Club enjoys its own large designated open-plan area within the centre with a central open kitchen, under-floor heating with direct access to the outside areas.

A variety of activities, toys and resources are provided including arts and crafts, where the emphasis is on self-directed play. We don’t separate children dependant on their year groups, we encourage natural relationships to be formed. The benefits to the children of not being separated far outweigh the added pressure on us!

Currently during the holidays it is only The Kids’ Club who operates out of the centre during the day, giving us more access and freedom of movement.

Our school-aged Holiday Club is currently accommodating between 40 – 65 children.

Hours of Opening and Fees

The Holiday Club is open between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm.

There are two sessions available:-

8.30am – 3.30pm (always with the option to stay later if required)

8.30am – 5.30pm

The cost of these sessions are:

8.30am – 3.30pm – £40.60 per child per day.

8.30am – 5.30pm – £52.20 per child per day.

Families with two or more children will be given a 5% discount.

We work hard to meet the needs of our families, it is therefore not necessary to book a whole holiday if you don’t need it.  We can do part weeks.

We do not request a booking deposit fee.  The fees are payable in advance and a payment plan is devised where applicable giving you the opportunity to pay monthly in advance.

(Please note that during Holiday Club, there is an added charge of £1.00 per child per day to help towards activities and resources. To be capped at £10.00 per week for families with 3 or more children).

As we are a registered provider you may be able to claim a tax allowance on fees paid. We will send out certificates from January on request confirming amount paid in fees for the previous year.

Securing your child/children’s place

There are several forms, which you must complete and return to the Club, prior to your child/ren starting.  Get in touch with us and we can forward them to you.

You can download our holiday planner for the year – this gives you all the dates we are open over the school holidays.

Please ensure you let us know the dates you may require as soon as possible to guarantee a place. You don’t have to book all week, all holiday, we can work around your needs. We do not request a booking fee.

You can do this by sending back a completed holiday planner, or by emailing steph@thekidsclub.je; you can also just give us a ring on 07797 832771 to discuss your requirements further and to answer any questions you may have.

If your child is coming just during the holidays the fees are payable in advance, a payment plan is also devised where applicable giving you the opportunity to pay monthly in advance. We cannot confirm your booking is secure until payment is received by the given date.

If you no longer require your place it is your responsibility to inform the Club, two weeks prior to the start of the holiday, otherwise you will be charged for that place.

Before a child starts at The Kids’ Club we recommend that he/she have an induction period.  (There is no charge for the induction visits).  The first visit will be with one or both parents/carers to view the Club, this will give everyone the opportunity to ask any questions.

The second visit the child can be left for a couple of hours.  A member of the team will be designated to look after them and help him/her settle in.  This will enable them to become familiar with the new surroundings, make new friends and enjoy and participate in the activities.

If you would like to arrange an induction please contact us on 07797 832771 or email steph@thekidsclub.je.
